Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Pockets (Quick Recipe)
Ingredients (Makes 6 pockets)
1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
6 slices ham
6 slices cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)
1 egg (for egg wash)
1 tbsp water
Optional add-ins:
Mustard
Black pepper
Oregano
Chili flakes
Instructions
1. Prep the Pastry
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cut puff pastry sheet into 6 rectangles.
2. Fill
On each piece:
Add 1 ham slice
Add 1 cheese slice
Optional: spread a tiny amount of mustard or sprinkle pepper/oregano.
3. Fold & Seal
Fold the pastry over the filling to form a pocket.
Press edges with a fork to seal.
Place on a baking tray.
Mix egg + 1 tbsp water → brush the tops.
4. Bake
Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
