Fried chicken in the air fryer

Ingredients:
Marinade:
½ whole chicken, cut into separate pieces (breast, thigh, wing, and drumstick)
½ cup of hot sauce
½ cup of buttermilk
Seasoning:
¾ cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Spray oil (canola or vegetable)
Method:
Marinate the chicken:
Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then place it in a bowl with buttermilk. The chicken pieces should be well coated with buttermilk. Let it marinate for at least one hour or overnight.
Bread the chicken:
To prepare the breading, mix the flour, seasoned salt, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Remove the chicken pieces from the buttermilk and shake off the excess; then dip them into the flour mixture and coat them well. Transfer the breaded chicken pieces to a clean plate or rack to rest.
Fry the chicken in the air fryer:
You may need to work in two batches if necessary. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
Lightly spray the chicken with spray oil.
Air fry for about 20 to 25 minutes until the chicken is well-cooked and golden, flipping halfway through.
Serve the air-fried chicken immediately and enjoy the delicious crispy chicken!
