1 lb lean ground beef (93% or 96% for WW-friendly)
1 medium onion, diced
3–4 cups chopped cabbage (about ½ small head)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (regular or fire-roasted)
1 tbsp tomato paste (optional for richness)
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp chili powder (optional)
½–1 tsp salt, to taste
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp cumin (optional)
2–3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce OR Worcestershire
Spray oil (if needed)
🍳 Instructions
1. Cook the beef
Heat a large skillet over medium-high.
Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
Drain excess fat if needed (WW-friendly step).
2. Add aromatics
Add diced onion and garlic.
Cook 3–4 minutes, until softened.
3. Add cabbage
Stir in chopped cabbage.
Cook 5–7 minutes, letting it soften and reduce.
(If the pan seems dry, add 2–3 tbsp water.)
4. Add tomatoes + seasoning
Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste (optional), soy sauce/Worcestershire, and all spices.
Reduce heat to medium.
Simmer 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and flavors blend.
