Sizzling Chinese Pepper Steak with Onions

⭐ Ingredients

250 g (½ lb) lean beef (sirloin or flank), thinly sliced

1 large onion, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced
-
1 red bell pepper, sliced
-
2 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 tsp ginger, minced
-
1–2 tsp sesame oil or olive oil
-
2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
-
1 tsp oyster sauce (optional)
-
½ tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
-
1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
-
1 tsp rice vinegar (optional)
-
1–2 spring onions, sliced for garnish
🥣 Instructions
1. Marinate the beef

Toss beef slices with 1 tbsp soy sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch slurry.

Let sit 10 minutes.
2. Stir-fry veggies

Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.

Stir-fry onions and bell peppers 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.

Remove and set aside.
3. Cook beef

In the same pan, stir-fry beef slices 3–5 minutes until browned but not overcooked.
4. Combine

Return vegetables to the pan.

Add remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.

Stir well 1–2 minutes until everything is coated and sizzling.
5. Serve

Garnish with sliced spring onions.

Serve hot with steamed rice, cauliflower rice, or noodles.
