Broccoli and Mushroom Stir Fry Recipe
Ingredients

1 lb broccoli florets

10 oz sliced mushrooms

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup soy sauce
-
2 tsp sesame oil
-
1 tbsp rice vinegar
-
1 tsp sugar
-
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tbsp cornstarch
-
2 tbsp cooking oil
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Make the sauce:
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, red pepper flakes, and cornstarch. Set aside. -
Heat the pan:
Add 2 tbsp cooking oil to a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. -
Sauté garlic:
Add minced garlic and cook for 20–30 seconds until fragrant. -
Cook mushrooms:
Add mushrooms and cook 3–4 minutes until they start to brown and soften. -
Add broccoli:
Add broccoli florets and stir fry for 3–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
(Add 2–3 tbsp water and cover for 1 minute if you want softer broccoli.) -
Add sauce:
Pour in the prepared sauce and toss well. Cook 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the vegetables. -
Season:
Add salt and pepper to taste. -
Serve:
Enjoy hot over steamed rice, noodles, or as a side dish.
