Prepare the Bread
In a small bowl, mix butter, mayonnaise, garlic powder, pepper, and dried parsley.
Spread this mixture evenly on one side of each bread slice (this will be the outer side).
Assemble the Sandwich
Place two bread slices butter-side down.
Add 1 slice of cheese, then ham, then another slice of cheese.
Cover with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
