Air Fryer Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Potatoes is a quick and flavorful meal, perfect for a busy weeknight! The air fryer gives the steak bites a crispy exterior while keeping them tender on the inside, and the potatoes cook up golden and crispy.
Ingredients:
For the Steak Bites:
1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or your choice), cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Potatoes:
4 medium potatoes, diced into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Potatoes:
In a bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Make sure the potatoes are evenly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
Add the seasoned potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the potatoes are golden and crispy.
2. Prepare the Steak Bites:
While the potatoes are cooking, in a separate bowl, combine the steak cubes with olive oil, minced garlic, melted butter, thyme (if using), salt, and pepper. Toss everything together to coat the steak evenly.
3. Air Fry the Steak Bites:
Once the potatoes are done (after about 15-20 minutes), remove them from the air fryer and set them aside.
Place the seasoned steak bites into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for about 7-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the steak reaches your desired doneness. If you prefer your steak more well-done, you can air fry for an additional minute or two.
4. Combine and Serve:
Once both the potatoes and steak bites are cooked, toss them together in a serving dish. Optionally, drizzle with a bit more melted butter or garnish with fresh parsley.
Tips:
For added flavor, you can squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the steak bites and potatoes right before serving.
You can customize the seasoning on both the potatoes and steak with your favorite herbs and spices!
