Description

These air fryer apple rolls are warm, sweet, and perfectly crispy on the outside with a soft, gooey apple-cinnamon filling inside. Think apple pie meets churro vibes — but way easier and faster. Perfect for dessert, brunch, or a cozy snack.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices white sandwich bread (crusts removed)

  • 1 cup apple pie filling (finely chopped) or sautéed apples

  • 3 tbsp melted butter

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • Optional: powdered sugar or caramel sauce for topping

Instructions

  1. Prep the bread
Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin until thin.

  2. Fill & roll
Spoon a small amount of apple filling onto one end of each slice. Roll tightly like a log.

  3. Butter & coat
Brush each roll with melted butter. Mix sugar and cinnamon, then roll each piece in the mixture until fully coated.

  4. Air fry
Place rolls seam-side down in the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.

  5. Serve warm
Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with caramel if desired.

Quick Q & A

Q: Can I use fresh apples instead of pie filling?
A: Yes! Dice apples and cook them with a little butter, sugar, and cinnamon until soft before using.

Q: Can these be baked instead of air-fried?
A: Absolutely. Bake at 400°F (205°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping once.

Q: How do I keep them from unrolling?
A: Roll tightly and place seam-side down in the air fryer — no toothpicks needed.

Q: Can I make them ahead of time?
A: Best fresh, but you can prep and refrigerate them uncooked for up to 24 hours.
