Ham & Bacon Egg Toast

Ham & Bacon Egg Toast

What you’re getting

Crispy toast, salty bacon, tender ham, and perfectly runny eggs. Simple, filling, and elite breakfast energy.

🛒 Ingredients (serves 1–2)

  • 2 slices white or sandwich bread

  • 2 slices bacon

  • 2 slices ham (thin-cut, deli or breakfast ham)

  • 2 large eggs

  • Butter (for toast & pan)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • Ketchup or hot sauce, optional

🔥 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Cook the bacon

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  • Add bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 4–6 minutes, flipping once.

  • Transfer to paper towels.

  • Leave a little bacon fat in the pan for flavor.

2. Warm the ham

  • In the same pan, add ham slices.

  • Cook 30–45 seconds per side, just until warmed and lightly browned.

  • Remove and set aside.

3. Toast the bread

  • Toast bread until golden but still soft inside.

  • Lightly butter one side of each slice.

4. Cook the eggs (two methods)

Option A: Poached eggs (closest to the photo)

  1. Bring a small pot of water to a gentle simmer.

  2. Add a small splash of vinegar (optional).

  3. Crack eggs into separate cups.

  4. Gently slide eggs into water.

  5. Cook 3–4 minutes for runny yolks.

  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.

Option B: Fried eggs (easy swap)

  • Heat pan on low–medium with a little butter.

  • Crack eggs in and cook slowly.

  • Cover pan for set whites + runny yolks.

5. Assemble

  1. Place toast on a plate.

  2. Layer bacon first, then ham.

  3. Top each slice with one egg.

  4. Season with salt & pepper.

  5. Add ketchup or hot sauce on the side or directly on toast.

🍽️ Serving Tips

  • Best eaten immediately while yolks are runny

  • Pair with coffee or orange juice

  • Knife + fork recommended (it gets gloriously messy)

🔥 Variations (if you want to upgrade)

  • Cheesy: Add a slice of cheddar or Swiss before the egg

  • Spicy: Chili crisp or sriracha instead of ketchup

  • Hearty: Add avocado or sautéed mushrooms

  • Low-carb: Serve everything over sautéed greens instead of toast
