Ham & Bacon Egg Toast
What you’re getting
Crispy toast, salty bacon, tender ham, and perfectly runny eggs. Simple, filling, and elite breakfast energy.
🛒 Ingredients (serves 1–2)
2 slices white or sandwich bread
2 slices bacon
2 slices ham (thin-cut, deli or breakfast ham)
2 large eggs
Butter (for toast & pan)
Salt & black pepper, to taste
Ketchup or hot sauce, optional
🔥 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cook the bacon
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Add bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 4–6 minutes, flipping once.
Transfer to paper towels.
Leave a little bacon fat in the pan for flavor.
2. Warm the ham
In the same pan, add ham slices.
Cook 30–45 seconds per side, just until warmed and lightly browned.
Remove and set aside.
3. Toast the bread
Toast bread until golden but still soft inside.
Lightly butter one side of each slice.
4. Cook the eggs (two methods)
Option A: Poached eggs (closest to the photo)
Bring a small pot of water to a gentle simmer.
Add a small splash of vinegar (optional).
Crack eggs into separate cups.
Gently slide eggs into water.
Cook 3–4 minutes for runny yolks.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
Option B: Fried eggs (easy swap)
Heat pan on low–medium with a little butter.
Crack eggs in and cook slowly.
Cover pan for set whites + runny yolks.
5. Assemble
Place toast on a plate.
Layer bacon first, then ham.
Top each slice with one egg.
Season with salt & pepper.
Add ketchup or hot sauce on the side or directly on toast.
🍽️ Serving Tips
Best eaten immediately while yolks are runny
Pair with coffee or orange juice
Knife + fork recommended (it gets gloriously messy)
🔥 Variations (if you want to upgrade)
Cheesy: Add a slice of cheddar or Swiss before the egg
Spicy: Chili crisp or sriracha instead of ketchup
Hearty: Add avocado or sautéed mushrooms
Low-carb: Serve everything over sautéed greens instead of toast
