Air Fryer Beef Burgers (Juicy & Crispy)
Serves 2–4 | Ready in ~15 minutes
Ingredients
Burger Patties
-
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
(80/20 is ideal — leaner meat dries out) -
1 tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp smoked paprika (optional but 🔥)
-
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing or spraying)
Optional additions:
-
1 tbsp grated onion (extra juiciness)
-
½ tsp MSG (restaurant-level flavor boost)
-
Pinch of cayenne (if you like heat)
Step 1: Form the Patties (Important)
-
Place ground beef in a bowl.
-
Sprinkle seasoning evenly over the meat.
-
Gently mix just until combined—do NOT overwork.
-
Divide into 2–4 patties, about ¾-inch thick.
-
Press a small dimple in the center of each patty (prevents puffing).
🧠 Pro tip: Cold meat = juicier burger. Chill patties 10 minutes if you have time.
Step 2: Preheat the Air Fryer
-
Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes
This is key for browning.
Step 3: Air Fry the Burgers
-
Lightly oil or spray the air fryer basket.
-
Place patties in a single layer (don’t overlap).
-
Lightly brush or spray tops with oil.
Cooking Time
-
375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes total
-
Flip halfway (around minute 4–5)
Internal Temp Guide
-
Medium: 140–145°F (60–63°C)
-
Medium-well: 150–155°F (65–68°C)
-
Well-done (like in the photo): 160°F (71°C)
🔥 For extra crust like the picture:
-
Increase to 400°F (205°C) for the last 1–2 minutes
Step 4: Rest the Burgers
Remove and rest 3–5 minutes before serving.
This locks in juices—don’t skip it.
Optional: Add Cheese
-
Add cheese slices during the last 1 minute
-
Close air fryer to melt
Serving Ideas
