Bacon Cheeseburger Sheet Pan Lasagna (Detailed Recipe)

A fun twist on classic lasagna with all the flavors of a bacon cheeseburger — layered on a sheet pan so it cooks faster and feeds a crowd!


🧀 Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

For the Meat Sauce

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef

  • 6–8 slices bacon, chopped

  • 1 medium onion, finely diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp mustard

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Salt to taste


For the Cheese Layers

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)

  • 1 egg

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste


For the Pasta Layers

  • 10–12 lasagna sheets (precooked or boiled)

  • 2 tbsp butter or oil for greasing the sheet pan


Optional Toppings (Highly Recommended)

  • Pickles (sliced)

  • Fresh diced tomatoes

  • Shredded lettuce

  • Cooked crumbled bacon

  • Sesame seeds (for “burger bun” vibe)


👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Meat

  1. In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.

  2. In the bacon fat, sauté onions until soft.

  3. Add ground beef, cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

  4. Stir in:

    • garlic

    • tomato sauce

    • crushed tomatoes

    • ketchup

    • mustard

    • Worcestershire

    • smoked paprika

    • Italian seasoning

    • salt & pepper

  5. Simmer for 10 minutes until thick and flavorful.

  6. Mix the cooked bacon back in (reserve some for topping).


2️⃣ Mix the Cheese Filling

In a bowl combine:

  • Ricotta

  • Egg

  • Garlic powder

  • Onion powder

  • Salt & pepper

Stir until smooth.


3️⃣ Assemble on the Sheet Pan

Use a standard-sized sheet pan, greased with butter/oil.

Layering:

  1. Layer 1: Spread a thin layer of meat sauce.

  2. Layer 2: Add lasagna sheets.

  3. Layer 3: Spread a layer of ricotta mixture.

  4. Layer 4: Add meat sauce.

  5. Layer 5: Sprinkle cheddar + mozzarella.

  6. Repeat layers until ingredients are used up.

  7. Finish with a thick cheese layer on top. Sprinkle sesame seeds if using.


4️⃣ Bake

Bake in a preheated oven:

  • Temperature: 375°F (190°C)

  • Time: 25–30 minutes

  • Broil for an additional 2–3 minutes for a golden cheesy top.

Let it rest 10 minutes before slicing.

  • Pickles

  • Extra ketchup and mustard drizzle

  • Fresh tomato dices

  • Lettuce (added after baking)

  • More crispy bacon
