Baked Pears with Honey, Fresh Berries, Walnuts & Feta Crumble

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 2–3 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (optional but adds richness)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • Optional garnish: mint leaves, extra honey, or a dollop of yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Heat to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare Pears:
    Slice pears in half and remove cores.
    Place them cut-side up in a baking dish.
  3. Flavor Mix:
    Mix honey, melted butter, cinnamon, and vanilla.
    Drizzle evenly over each pear half.
  4. Bake:
    Bake for 25–30 minutes, until pears are soft and caramelized.
  5. Add Toppings:
    Once baked, top each pear with fresh berries, chopped walnuts, and crumbled feta.
  6. Finish:
    Drizzle with extra honey if you want more sweetness.
    Garnish with mint leaves or yogurt for a creamy touch.

Serving Ideas

  • Serve warm with Greek yogurt, vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream.
  • Substitute feta with goat cheese for a tangier version.
  • Add granola for extra crunch at breakfast.
