🧀 Cheese Stuffed Pan-Fried Bread

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp instant yeast

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¾ cup warm milk (not hot)

  • 1 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive)

Filling

  • 1½ cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
    Optional: mix in a little cheddar for extra flavor

For cooking

  • Butter or oil


Instructions

  1. Make the dough

    • In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

    • Add warm milk and oil.

    • Knead 8–10 minutes until soft and smooth.

    • Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.

  2. Divide & fill

    • Punch down dough and divide into 4 equal balls.

    • Flatten one ball into a circle.

    • Add a generous amount of cheese in the center.

    • Pinch edges to seal completely.

    • Gently flatten again into a thick disc.

  3. Cook

    • Heat a non-stick pan on low-medium heat.

    • Add a little butter or oil.

    • Cook each bread 3–4 minutes per side, covered, until golden brown and cheese melts inside.

    • Press gently with a spatula while cooking.

  4. Serve

    • Slice while hot and enjoy that cheese pull 🤤


🔥 Tips

  • Keep heat low so the bread cooks through without burning.

  • If cheese leaks a little — that’s a bonus, not a problem 😄
