🧀 Cheese Stuffed Pan-Fried Bread
Ingredients
Dough
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp instant yeast
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
¾ cup warm milk (not hot)
1 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive)
Filling
1½ cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
Optional: mix in a little cheddar for extra flavor
For cooking
Butter or oil
Instructions
Make the dough
In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
Add warm milk and oil.
Knead 8–10 minutes until soft and smooth.
Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
Divide & fill
Punch down dough and divide into 4 equal balls.
Flatten one ball into a circle.
Add a generous amount of cheese in the center.
Pinch edges to seal completely.
Gently flatten again into a thick disc.
Cook
Heat a non-stick pan on low-medium heat.
Add a little butter or oil.
Cook each bread 3–4 minutes per side, covered, until golden brown and cheese melts inside.
Press gently with a spatula while cooking.
Serve
Slice while hot and enjoy that cheese pull 🤤
🔥 Tips
Keep heat low so the bread cooks through without burning.
If cheese leaks a little — that’s a bonus, not a problem 😄
