Chocolate Mousse Recipe (Easy & Delicious)

Ingredients (4 servings):

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)

  • 150g dark chocolate (good quality, chopped)

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • A pinch of salt

  • Optional toppings: shaved chocolate, berries, whipped cream


Instructions:

1️⃣ Melt the Chocolate

  • Add chopped dark chocolate to a heatproof bowl.

  • Melt it over a double boiler OR microwave in 20-second intervals.

  • Stir until smooth.

  • Let it cool slightly (room temperature but still liquid).

2️⃣ Whip the Cream

  • In a large chilled bowl, add heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt.

  • Whip until soft peaks form (don’t overbeat).

3️⃣ Combine

  • Add a spoonful of whipped cream into the melted chocolate and mix gently.

  • Now fold the chocolate mixture back into the remaining whipped cream.

  • Fold slowly to keep it airy and fluffy.

4️⃣ Set the Mousse

  • Spoon into serving glasses or bowls.

  • Chill in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours until firm and mousse-like.

5️⃣ Garnish & Serve

  • Top with whipped cream, berries, or shaved chocolate.

  • Serve chilled!
