Creamy Slow-Cooker Cream Cheese Chicken

Creamy Slow-Cooker Cream Cheese Chicken

🛒 Ingredients (serves 3–4)

  • 1½–2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, cut into 2 blocks

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning

  • Optional: chili flakes for heat

  • Optional add-ins: mushrooms, spinach, or a splash of chicken broth

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Layer the chicken
Place chicken in the slow cooker in a single layer. Season evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and herbs.

  2. Add cream cheese
Place the cream cheese blocks directly on top of the chicken. Sprinkle a little seasoning over them too.

  3. Cook

    • LOW: 5–6 hours

    • HIGH: 3–4 hours
(No liquid needed—the chicken releases juices.)

  4. Finish
Once cooked, stir everything together until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Shred or slice the chicken as desired.
