Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Pockets (Quick Recipe)

Ingredients (Makes 6 pockets)

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

  • 6 slices ham

  • 6 slices cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • 1 tbsp water

  • Optional add-ins:

    • Mustard

    • Black pepper

    • Oregano

    • Chili flakes


Instructions

1. Prep the Pastry

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Cut puff pastry sheet into 6 rectangles.

2. Fill

On each piece:

  • Add 1 ham slice

  • Add 1 cheese slice

  • Optional: spread a tiny amount of mustard or sprinkle pepper/oregano.

3. Fold & Seal

  • Fold the pastry over the filling to form a pocket.

  • Press edges with a fork to seal.

  • Place on a baking tray.

  • Mix egg + 1 tbsp water → brush the tops.

4. Bake

  • Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
