🥦 Garlic Mushrooms and Broccoli 🍄
✅ Ingredients:
1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
200–250g (7–9 oz) button or cremini mushrooms, sliced
3–4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: a splash of soy sauce or lemon juice, red pepper flakes, or grated Parmesan cheese
🔪 Instructions:
Steam or Blanch the Broccoli
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add broccoli florets and cook for 2–3 minutes, until just tender and bright green.
Drain and set aside (or plunge into cold water to stop cooking if you want it extra crisp).
Sauté the Mushrooms
Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the mushrooms and cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release moisture and become golden brown.
Add Garlic and Broccoli
Add another tbsp of oil or butter if needed.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds, until fragrant (don’t let it burn).
Add the cooked broccoli and sauté everything together for 2–3 minutes.
Season & Serve
Season with salt, pepper, and optional soy sauce or lemon juice for a tangy kick.
Sprinkle with Parmesan or chili flakes if desired.
🍽️ Serving Ideas:
