Chia Seed Pudding

Chia Seed Pudding (Basic Recipe)

Ingredients (makes ~3 small jars)

  • ½ cup chia seeds

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based: almond, oat, coconut all work)

  • 1–2 tbsp sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or sugar, to taste)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • Pinch of salt (optional, but boosts flavor)

Instructions

  1. Mix

    • In a bowl, combine milk, sweetener, vanilla, and salt.

    • Add chia seeds and whisk well for 1–2 minutes to prevent clumps.

  2. Rest & Stir

    • Let sit for 5–10 minutes, then stir again (important for even texture).

  3. Chill

    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours, or overnight, until thick and pudding-like.

  4. Serve

    • Stir once more, divide into jars, and enjoy cold.

Texture Fixes

  • Too thick? Add a splash of milk and stir.

  • Too thin? Add 1–2 tsp chia seeds, wait 30 minutes.

Flavor Variations (easy upgrades)

  • Orange Vanilla 🍊: Add 1 tsp orange zest (matches what’s near the jars!)

  • Chocolate: Mix in 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • Coconut: Use coconut milk + shredded coconut

  • Berry: Top with fresh or mashed berries

  • Protein boost: Stir in vanilla protein powder before chilling
