1 head of broccoli, cut into florets

200–250g (7–9 oz) button or cremini mushrooms, sliced
-
3–4 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

Steam or Blanch the Broccoli

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add broccoli florets and cook for 2–3 minutes, until just tender and bright green.

-
-
Sauté the Mushrooms
-
Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Add the mushrooms and cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release moisture and become golden brown.
-
-
Add Garlic and Broccoli
-
Add another tbsp of oil or butter if needed.
-
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds, until fragrant (don’t let it burn).
-
Add the cooked broccoli and sauté everything together for 2–3 minutes.
-
-
Season & Serve
-
Season with salt, pepper, and optional soy sauce or lemon juice for a tangy kick.
